These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Settle the Card, the website and installable web app at settlethecard.golf operated by Settle the Card LLC (“we,” “us”). By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Settle the Card is a golf score and round-tracking tool for recreational, social use among players in your group. Features may include local scorekeeping, optional Fairway Sync cloud rounds, optional Pro upgrades, course search, and settlement summaries you share with your group.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We try to keep the app available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
We do not operate gambling, betting, or money-transmission services. Games, side bets, Nassau presses, drink holes, Venmo suggestions, and similar amounts you configure in the app are between you and the other players. We do not collect, hold, escrow, or pay out money for on-course games or settlements. You are solely responsible for complying with applicable laws and course or league rules.
When you host, follow, or play along in a cloud round, round data (such as player names, scores, and game settings) is stored on servers we use (see the Privacy Policy) so devices can stay in sync.
Signing in (for example with Google through our auth provider) is optional and is used mainly to sync Pro across your devices.
Pro purchases are processed by Stripe on Stripe’s checkout pages. Prices, billing, and refunds are subject to what we display at purchase time and to Stripe’s processing. For billing questions or refund requests, contact us at contact@settlethecard.golf. We may revoke Pro access for chargebacks, fraud, or violation of these Terms.
You must provide accurate sign-in information and keep access to the account you used to purchase Pro if you want entitlements to follow you across devices.

The app, branding, and content we provide are owned by Settle the Card LLC or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial golf scoring. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the app or our logos except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Score calculations, handicaps, settlements, and summaries are for convenience only. You are responsible for verifying results before relying on them. We are not responsible for disputes among players in your group.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SETTLE THE CARD LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR PRO IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) TWENTY U.S. DOLLARS (USD 20).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Settle the Card LLC from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the app, your cloud rounds, your games or settlements with other players, or your violation of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
